Nease graduate Tyler McCumber withdrew from PGA Tour Q-School on Dec. 10, citing pain and inflammation in his left hip.

PONTE VEDRA BEACH – First Coast native Tyler McCumber withdrew from the PGA Tour Q-School on Wednesday afternoon, telling the Times-Union that he had experienced “inflammation and pain” in his left hip while practicing this week.
The first round of Q-School begins on Thursday. McCumber was scheduled to play in the first group off No. 1 at the TPC Sawgrass Dye’s Valley at 8:15 a.m. with former University of North Florida player Nick Infanti and Taehoon Ok of Korea.
There are no alternates in Q-School and the field is now 175 players. The top five following Sunday’s final round will earn PGA Tour cards for 2026. Each player will compete in two rounds on the Valley Course and two at the Sawgrass Country Club.
