Keep up to date with the full 2026 PGA Tour schedule and results here…
The 2026 PGA Tour schedule was only announced a few weeks ago and there have already been a number of changes.
The most recent update is that there will be a brand new event as part of the postseason FedEx Cup Fall Series.
The Biltmore Championship will take place at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove in Asheville in the middle of September – which is the usual slot of the Procore Championship at Silverado, so it will be interesting to see what happens with that.
The Biltmore Championship will see PGA Tour stars return to the North Carolina town for the first time in more than 80 years. The Asheville Land of the Sky Open was first contested in the early 1920s, was an official PGA Tour tournament from 1939 to 1942 – the final three of which were won by Hall of Famer Ben Hogan.
It may also attract a strong field, as it will take place the week before the Presidents Cup, which is being played at Medinah in Illinois.
Also new to the FedEx Cup Fall Series is the inaugural Good Good Championship, which has been created in conjunction with YouTube stars Good Good Golf. That will take place in Texas in November.
Meanwhile, one tournament has been lost after it was decided the season-opener – The Sentry – will not be played.
Tyler Dennis, the Tour’s chief competitions officer, added: “Since it first became a possibility that the PGA Tour would not be able to play at The Plantation Course at Kapalua due to the ongoing drought conditions on Maui, we worked closely with our partners at Sentry to assess options for contesting The Sentry in 2026.”
The 2026 season will now begin with the Sony Open, and any players who qualified for The Sentry, which is a Signature Event, will now be exempt for the RBC Heritage in April.
As well as the four major tournaments, there will now be eight Signature Events – the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Genesis Invitational, Arnold Palmer Invitational, RBC Heritage, Miami Championship, Truist Championship, Memorial and Travelers – which are limited-field, no-cut tournaments with elevated prize purses.
Among the highlights of the new schedule is the tour’s highly anticipated return to Trump National Doral, home to LIV Golf Miami, which will debut as a brand new Signature Event. This will be the 56th time the Blue Monster has staged a PGA Tour tournament since its annual spot on the schedule from 1962 through to 2016.
The 2026 season will build up to the 20th edition of the FedExCup Playoffs, concluding, as always, with the Tour Championship at East Lake.
