Tommy Fleetwood’s wait for his first PGA Tour win continues after a tough finish at the FedEx St. Jude Championship. Holding a two-shot lead with three holes to play, the Englishman stumbled with a bogey on 17, ending up tied for third at 15-under par, just one shot shy of the playoff between J.J. Spaun and eventual winner Justin Rose.
It was a near-miss that could’ve been crushing, but Fleetwood’s reaction showed his mindset. Posting on X, he wrote, “With every disappointment, I truly know I’m closer and closer and even more determined than ever that I will get this done. The support I’ve received is invaluable … we’ll get there together!”
He also congratulated his friend Rose, saying, “@JustinRose99, your win is inspiring, congratulations my friend!!”
