Scottie Scheffler News Emerges Amid Winning The Open

Scottie Scheffler made headlines again this weekend, earning his first Claret Jug at Royal Portrush with a composed final-round 68. The World No. 1 held off Harris English by four shots, adding The Open to his growing list of major wins.
Scheffler needs only a U.S. Open win to complete the career Grand Slam, something only six men in golf history have achieved.
But it wasn’t just Scheffler taking home a big check. His caddie, Ted Scott, walked away with a serious payday, too. With Scheffler earning $3.1 million for the win and assuming Scott received the standard 10% cut, the caddie earned $310,000 for the week. That bumps his 2025 earnings into the $1.8 to $2 million range, which would put him around 70th on the PGA Tour’s money list if he were a player.
