As something of a Halloween decor enthusiast (not so much for setting up my own, but for observing the work of others), the best bang-for-your-buck stretch I’ve seen in my time living in NYC and Philadelphia, and with all due respect to both of those cities, is on the two streets running parallel to Washington St. in Hoboken.

On Bloomfield and Garden streets, in addition to the standard witches, ghosts, etc. of Hallowen decor canon, themed displays are de rigueur. On the stretch bounded (roughly) by 5th and 15th streets, you’ll see The Wizard of Oz, K-Pop groups, the Jets (dying for a winner, etc.), horror movie luminaries, E.T., Beetlejuice — and, of course, the viral Taylor Swift boyfriend graveyard.
