Multiple PGA tour golfers were suffering from injuries and there were concerns about them going forward into the tournament. Seems like one of those fears became a reality.
Just before the first tee shots rang out at TPC River Highlands for the 2025 Travelers Championship, PGA Tour golfer Brian Campbell has officially withdrawn from the event. Campbell, who was suffering from a shoulder injury, has decided he needs more time to recover.
Campbell’s withdrawal created an opening that was swiftly filled by Davis Riley, the next alternate in the draw. Riley last appeared in the U.S. Open but missed the cut, carding rounds of 78-77.
