ThePGATourquietlyhasbeendoingitsownresearchandispreparingtopresentitsfindingstotherulingbodies.OnTuesday,Tourleadershipbriefedthe16-memberPlayerAdvisoryCouncilonthefindings.MaverickMcNealy,aPACmembersincelastJunewhoisrunningforchairman,said,“ItwasasunitedasI’veeverseenthePAC.”
McNealydeclinedtospecifywhetherthatwasfororagainsttherollbackbutBrianHarman,anothermemberofthePAC,gaveaprettygoodclue.
“Ithinkit’sabadidea.Ican’tgetonboard,”hetold Golfweek attheArnoldPalmerInvitational.“Therearesomanymorestepswecantaketomitigatedistancewithgolfcoursesetup,driversetupbeforeyouforcecompaniestoR&Dabunchofthings.”
